SOI DOG + ETAPESTRY
eTapestry is Blackbaud’s fundraising database built specifically for small charities.
Soi Dog Foundation was founded in 2003 to help the homeless, neglected and abused dogs and cats of Thailand. Recently reaching a milestone of over 100,000 dogs and cats sterilised, the foundation continues to grow in supporters and donations every year. To support their growth Soi Dog implemented eTapestry in 2013 and has seen the positive effects of having a centralised database.
eTapestry is a very practical and useful tool for managing the scale of donor database that we have. It’s very easy to use.”
—Helen Thompson, Fundraising Officer
As a growing charity, Soi Dog had many manual processes which were becoming difficult to manage and a burden on their team. Records were kept in excel sheets and it wasn’t clear whether donations were from first time or recurring donors.
It was rare that supporters would even receive an acknowledgement letter after a donation and they could see the effect on their overall supporter relationship.
It’s great to have a system that automatically identifies who is a new
entrant into the database. This way we can strategically send out information
—Belinda Davis, Fundraising and Communications Manager
With eTapestry, many of Soi Dog’s processes are now automated. This saves their fundraising team time, allowing them to focus on new fundraising strategies and building their supporter relationships.
Since implementing eTapestry, Soi Dog’s supporter base and donations have grown four fold through the campaigns and information their team are successfully communicating.”
Since implementing eTapestry, Soi Dog’s supporter base and donations have grown four-fold through the campaigns and information their team are successfully communicating.
With growth of an organisation comes the struggle of keeping a personal connection with each individual donor. Soi Dog maintains this connection through personal supporter profiles in eTapestry.
The supporter profiles is essential for their team to know how often their supporter donates, if they’ve visited the shelters or are sponsoring an animal.
Tracking supporter information in a centralise database has been the key to keeping that relationship and in building better email segmentations for future campaigns.
When I think of eTapestry I don’t think of it as individual components because it all works together.”
